Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the advisory services provided by Kevin Dykes Car Advisory, a sole trader business owned and operated by Kevin Dykes (‘I’, ‘me’, ‘my’), and to your use of this website (‘you’, ‘your’).

By asking me to act on your behalf in sourcing or selling a vehicle, or by using this website, you agree to these terms.

About the business

Kevin Dykes Car Advisory is a sole trader business based in Oxfordshire:

Services

I provide a bespoke advisory service to help clients buy or sell cars, including sourcing vehicles, negotiating on your behalf and managing the process from start to finish.

Where I refer you to other specialists – for example for bodywork, alloy wheel repairs, servicing or MOTs – that work is carried out by them, not by me, and their own terms will apply.

Fees

As every client’s requirements are different, my fee is agreed with you individually rather than set at a fixed rate. I’ll agree the basis of my fee with you before starting work.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work, unless we’ve agreed otherwise. I require a deposit before commencing work (agreed between us). I accept payment by bank transfer or cash.

Cancellations

I understand that plans and circumstances change. If you no longer wish to proceed, please let me know as soon as you can.

Acting on your behalf

When buying or selling a vehicle, I act as your representative and adviser. While I use my experience and contacts to get you the best outcome, the final decision to proceed with any purchase or sale is always yours.

Liability

I carry out my services with reasonable skill and care. I can’t be held responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties (such as dealers, sellers, buyers or other specialists I refer you to) or for matters outside my control such as delays in sourcing a vehicle or completing a sale.

Website content

The content of this website, including testimonials, is provided for general information only and does not constitute a guarantee of outcome or a contractual offer. While I try to keep it accurate and up to date, details may change from time to time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
